TOP 5 ADHD MINDSET SHIFTS THAT EVERY ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD HAVE.

When you have ADHD and you’re running your own business, it takes a whole lot more than just owning a website.

We experience emotional changes throughout the journey than the average person because the way ADHD is presented to us gives us no room for success.

But that shouldn’t be the case.

Entrepreneurship is not easy for even the average person and that makes it even harder for us people living with ADHD.

And that’s solely because entrepreneurship tests every ounce of endurance in our bones.

That’s why it needs a whole set of mindset shifts for you to be able to start, grow and sustain your business as a person with ADHD.

So here are 5 mindset shifts that you’ve got to focus on for you to start a thriving business as an ADHD entrepreneur.

KNOW YOU’RE CAPABLE OF SUCCESS.

ADHD makes us unique. It doesn’t make us an example of failure.

But that can be hard to believe especially if you’ve not had much luck countering ADHD shortcomings.

That’s why it’s important to surround yourself with successful ADHD entrepreneurs so that you can actually believe that it is possible for you to become a success.

When you see others, just like you, accomplish what you thought was impossible, that instantly changes what you perceive as possible as an ADHD’er.

EMBRACE YOUR UNIQUENESS.

Again, ADHD is not a disability but an ability to accomplish things in extraordinary ways.

It’s a difference-ability as some say.

We’ve got ADHD gifts that showcase how we are so different from the rest so why not embrace that?

You can start by identifying your ADHD abilities, spot your ADHD weaknesses, capitalize on your strengths and workaround your weaknesses.

When you embrace your uniqueness as an ADHD entrepreneur, you’ll realize how much more fulfilling your life will be.

You become more conscious that your ADHD is playing a part of your success and THAT improves your self-esteem.

You start loving on your ADHD because it feels like the sole reason you’re successful rather than a cause of failure.

And all those emotions will help you focus on solving the problems that come with ADHD rather than playing blame game with ADHD.

Make your ADHD the leading role of a “friend'“, NOT the villain.

FIND YOUR OWN KIND OF WAY.

It’s obvious that your ADHD brain functions very differently from the rest. Understanding that will allow you to create strategies that work for you alone.

Once you do that, you’ll understand that conventional advice will not work for you.

Hacks that work for most people will not work for you and so you’ll invent your own way of accomplishing tasks, launching products, and even introducing your business to new leads.

Ultimately, that will help you stand out in the crowd because you’ll have created your own unique way of doing things that cannot be googled or even easily replicated.

SEE FAILURE AS A MEANS TO SUCCESS.

As an ADHD entrepreneur, failure is inevitable.

Now, the way you interpret failure in your life will predict your level of success.

If you decide to make failure a learning point, then you become better at what you do every single time. You learn what works and what doesn’t.

But if you don’t, you end up complaining and doing nothing about it and that leaves you stuck.

Understand this: Failure is not made to make you feel like you can’t do it. It happens so that it can teach you the best method to achieve your desired results.

REST

This is such a huge one for me because it’s imperative to prevent burnout. I know that my success is dependent on me resting. If I can rest, then I am able to show up in my business ready and hyped. But if I’m burnt out then I won’t have the energy to show up consistently in my business.

So yes, rest is part of my mindset shift and a huge part of my strategy.

Make rest a part of your strategy for success.

I never want to be burnt out so I never take more than I can chew and that allows me to have a steady growth system that gives me room to rest my brilliant ADHD brain that needs to be recharged ever so often.

If you don’t take the time for rest then your body will force you into recovery either way.

Stay on top of it so you don’t have to take forced time off and give up control.
